Convene Set For March 12-13 In Coralville, Iowa

The National Farmers annual winter meeting is coming to Coralville, Iowa on March 12-13. The Hyatt Regency Hotel will host the event, and room rates are just $119 for one King or two Queen beds if members make their reservation by February. 19. Parking is included.

“National Farmers held its convention event at this hotel about a decade ago, when it was branded as Marriott,” said Director of Communications Perry Garner. The newly remodeled Hyatt is located in the heart of the Iowa River Landing.

The national board meeting is March 11, the day before Convene begins at 2 p.m., along with member registration. Convene ‘24 kicks off with committee meetings at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, followed by a member welcome reception at 9 a.m. The general session begins at 10 a.m. The day winds down with the President’s Dessert Reception at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 is commodity day, featuring presenters providing the latest marketing information and risk management advice.

Conveniently located off of Interstate 80, the Iowa River Landing offers a unique retail experience for visitors including brew pubs, wine dives, boutiques, hotels and museums. The Antique Car Museum of Iowa is just steps away from the hotel, and the 28,000 square foot showroom features 90 cars ranging from year 1899 to the mid 1970s, along with an early 20th century Skelly gas station.
