Cattle, Grain and Milk Producers
Whether you produce conventional grains, milk or beef, it’s getting tougher to make real profits today as inputs skyrocket. That’s why we offer AgProfit Strategies Workshops in 15 states across the heart of farm country.
These farm workshops are put on by National Farmers Organization—a group of farmers who market conventional and organic production.
Completely free, these day-long meetings provide good information to beginning farmers—real tools you can go home with to help you in your current operation, or the one you hope to start someday.
Filled with advanced information about marketing, risk management, budgeting, and operational structure—you’ll be mighty glad you made the decision to attend one in your area.
And, if you have been farming ten years or less, you can receive a $250 payment to help cover the costs from being away from your farm or job.
Cattle production is one of the most important agricultural industries in the United States, consistently accounting for the largest share of total cash receipts for agricultural commodities. In 2021, cattle production is forecasted to represent about 17 percent of the $391 billion in total cash receipts.
That’s why its so important to stay up-to-date on production practices and marketing and risk management. Our seminars—both In-Person and On-Line, provide expert instruction on what to do now, and how to do it.
Most dairy farms are owned and maintained by families and have been for generations. Dairy farmers are experts at milk production and safety, farming best practices, and how to keep their herds healthy and content. Farmers invest countless hours into making the best product possible.
After many years of depressed prices, some dairy farmers faced an extremely tough couple of years as the industry struggled with a global pandemic, negative Producer Price Differentials and Federal Milk Marketing Order de-pooling while others enjoyed near record milk prices due to volatility in cheese prices.
We have a year-over-year decline in the number of dairy operations, which continues a long trend of farmers deciding to exit the dairy business. Since 2003, the U.S. has lost more than half of its licensed dairy operations, now just shy of 32,000 dairy operations.
Our production and marketing tools give beginning dairymen a real shot at turning their milk into continued profit.
Two million farms dot America’s rural landscape. About 98% of U.S. farms are operated by families – individuals, family partnerships or family corporations.
One U.S. farm feeds 166 people annually in the U.S. and abroad. The global population is expected to increase by 2.2 billion by 2050, which means the world’s farmers will have to grow about 70% more food than what is now produced.
By attending our In-Person Grain Seminars, or viewing our On-Line Grain Module, beginning producers will receive a broad range of knowledge they can put to work right away to benefit them.
Our AgProfit Strategies program is for farmers just starting, or for those with less than 10 years under their belt as an owner/operator. It is available in 15 different states. (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Michigan, Kansas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Missouri, Nebraska, Kentucky, New York; Pennsylvania, and North Dakota).
We encourage you to spread the word about us and help farmers get involved!
